Bill Gates is a great example of a modern day Renaissance Man. He is responsible for some of the most crucial technological developments of today. He is cofounder of the software company Microsoft. Lately, his company invented the ipod and the xbox. These are probably the two most popular computer related items in the world today. He retired as CEO of Microsoft in 2008. He is the genius of his generation and a prime example of a Renaissance Man.

Ghosts
People during Shakespeare’s time thought of ghosts as a hallucination, a spirit of a dead person returned to perform a deed left undone, or an angel or devil disguised as a dead person.
Ghosts today are still believed to be angels, demons, or just spirits of the dead still roaming the earth. My family doesn’t have any real superstitions about ghosts. The only ghosts I’ve ever seen were on TV. Some places in jasper are said to be haunted: the Tate House, Talking Rock Baptist Church, etc. Of course, old Civil War battlefields are believed to be haunted. People are fascinated with ghosts becasue maybe they have seen an actual ghost and believe that they exist or a ghost may have affected their life at some point.

Dale Earnhardt Tribute
I chose this video because Dale Earnhardt was one of the best drivers ever in NASCAR and he was a hero to a lot of people when he was alive and even more people after he died.

Heroes
The main hero in the video is Shrek. Another hero would be Donkey and Puss n’ Boots because they help Shrek. They all are heroes because they are trying to save Fiona from people she doesn’t want to be with. All heroes want to save everybody and don’t care if they die trying.
Some heroes like Beowulf could care less about money or gold, he just wants the glory of being a hero. Beowulf is a hero because he saves people from huge monsters and saves many lives when he kills them.

I expect our class blog to be very good. I look forward to starting some assignments. The only thing i dread are the difficult assignments to come later.

Blogging
I think I will like blogging and expressing myself very much. I have never used a blog for a class assignment before in any other class. I predict it will be fun and a different way of doing work at school. I look forward to using blogs as a class assignment because I’ve never done it before and it will be something new to me.
